GM Recall

carmaker is recalling 1.3 million compact cars over power steering problems.

General Motors has announce a big recall of several of the automakers cars and this is another indication of how car manufacturers aer having to deal with quality control problems via recalls of their automobiles.  When GM or any other car manufacturer makes an announcement like this, it costs them money and time to get all of the cars back to the dealers and the dealers have to spend time correcting problems that they will be reimbursed for by GM.  Car recalls are becoming more and more prominent these days and automakers like GM and other car companies have to eat the cost of recalling all of these cars.

Lemonshopper.com is your source for auto recalls of all of the different car manufacturers and makers of automobiles across the world.

Honda Recalls Honda 2007 5 Speed

I have had a “popping/knocking” noise coming from the suspension area in my car. It mainly does it when i go over bumps and such in the road. I just bought it a year ago and its made the noise since i got it. I have taken it to numerous honda dealerships under warranty and NO ONE has solved this problem. I have had the springs, struts, and front bump stops replaced and still nothing. Any one have suggestions on where I can research this problem to find any recalls, service bulletins etc? Or tell me what might be causing this problem? I have also tried going through Better Business beaureau to just get my money back or try to get a replacement car……I have not heard back from them in about 6 months after leaving them numerous messages and talking to people. HEELLLLLLP

Go directly to the Honda website and you will see a place for recalls and customer service. Keep in mind you are going to spend a lot of time getting pushed around by Honda and you probably will never get an answer that is satisfactory. Honda is good about recalls when it’s on a national basis, but your local dealer will not try to remedy your problem without some assistance from Honda Corporate. Go to Honda to find about more.   Honda has had problems just like the other automakers so if you are willing to get your documentation together and spend time getting the problem resolved with Honda, then you might get an answer.

GM-Chevy Cobalt Power Steering Recall

***WE DID IT!!! GM ANNOUNCED A RECALL ON MARCH 1, 2010!!! Read More here: www.click2houston.com *** My 2005 Chevy Cobalt’s power steering went out around the 45000 mark. I found hundreds of other Cobalt drivers that have had the same problem and had to pay $900-$2500 to repair their car. GM is aware of this problem but has chosen to do nothing about it. The only thing we can do is get everyone out there to call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and let them know of this issue in hopes of a future recall. Thanks for watching! It only takes five minutes, so please call in! National Highway Traffic Safety Administration 888-327-4236 www.SaferCar.gov
