Honda Airbag Inflator Recall
Honda announced on Wednesday that it is expanding a recall announced last summer involving certain 2001 and 2002 model-year vehicles to replace the driver’s side airbag inflator. Normally Honda cars are pretty good as far as dependability so when they announced a recall for the airbag inflator, we at Lemonshopper.com took notice. If you are a owner of a honda vehicle and have this problem, contact your local honda dealer to find out if your vehicle is on this list.
Honda as well as other Japanese automakers have been announcing several auto recalls lately and it might be a timing issure since all the other automakers have had recalls as well. To make sure your honda doesn’t have a airbag inflator problem, take your honda in to be checked out.

Honda Odysessy Transmission Problems
The Honda Odysessy is a great looking van and there are many of them still on the road today. There are many happy owners of the Honda Odysessy and many of them swear by how great they are. There is a problem that occurs in the Honda Odysessy Van that seems to be consistent amongst a number of Honda Odysessy owners and the problem has to do with the transmission.
I bought a 1999 Honda Odysessy and everything on it looked good and sounded great. After test driving the Van, it ran great and there seemed like there was nothing wrong with the transmission. Now since I did not take it to a mechanic, this was the first mistake I made because they would have pointed out to me the problem with the transmission. I did notice when driving it that it seemed to pull a little bit going into second gear but it was minor and we kept on driving the van as usual.
The problem with the Honda is widespread and there was even a class action suit that was filed on behalf of the owners of the vans who felt that they were not being treatly fairly in the resolution of the problem. Since there was no formal recall of the transmission of the Honda Odyssesy vans, it’s one of the problems that you find out about after you purchase the van.
The bottom line is that the transmission went out and it the costs to repair were around 3K. If you have had problems with the Honda Odysessy Van,please post your comments and let us know what you think about the Honda line of vans. Regardless of good or bad, post what your experience is so others can save time and money and not have to learn the hard way. If we all had the time to take vehicles to a mechanic and pay them a hundred bucks to look at every car we want to buy, we could spend hundreds of dollars just to tell the owner of the car what they already know about the problems in the vehicle.
